"Tongues" is a dark, visceral journey through toxic attachment and power dynamics. From a lyrical perspective, it tells a story of being trapped in a relationship where manipulation and pain become intertwined with intimacy. Painting a vivid picture of someone losing themselves in the overwhelming power dynamics, while grappling with a sense of helplessness. Yet, there is an undeniable allure that keeps them bound to this destructive connection. With themes of control, attachment, contradictory emotions, and a struggle with identity, Mirrorcell leaves the interpretation of their music to the listener.
